I am a photographer. I live in Rhode Island. I work wherever my clients and publishers send me.

I specialize in narrative and editorial portraiture as well as fine art and commercial animal photography.

Brief Bio info:I have three photography books out: Shelter Dogs, Street Dogs and Wild Horses; Endangered Beauty all from Merrell Publishers. My work has been featured in Life, Vogue, O, People, Bark, the Boston Globe and many other national and international publications. Exhibition record includes recent solo exhibits in New York, Providence, North Carolina and Tokyo.

I was recently awarded the 2010 Rhode Island State Council for the Arts photography grant, for which I am thankful.

I shoot with Nikons although Shelter Dogs was shot entirely with a used 5MP Olympus Camedia point and shoot.

BOOKS:


My third book "Wild Horses;Endangered Beauty" is now out and is about, yes you guessed it, the wild horses of North America. I am really excited about it. The images (I hope) are a bit different than what most people expect from a horse book. Shot in California, Nevada, Maryland, North Carolina, Puerto Rico and Maine the book gives a fairly comprehensive look at America's remaining wild mustangs.
Fifty cents from each book purchased is donated to the ASPCA Equine Fund.




Street Dogs is my second book.
I spent the winter of 2007 traveling throughout Puerto Rico and Mexico photographing dogs living alone and in packs in the streets, jungles and deserts in hopes of bringing the beauty and tragedy of their lives to animal lovers here in America and around the world.
