Hi my name is Iain also known as Mac and Bridie and I am the proud dad of my two young girls living in England

History and art were always my two favourite subjects at school and needless to say these have been joined by many other varied interests on my merry journey through life including photography on which I am consistently discovering new ideas and subjects by visitng a wonderful kaleidoscope of flickr members awe inspiring photos not to mention gaining a hugh interest in old post and cigarette cards, other art work creations and stumbling upon a mine of information and the massive variety of known and previously unaware (to me) other group interests

I enjoy looking at other peoples pictures and I hope that those visitng mine may learn something from my amateur attempts and descriptions re which when I come across on other members accounts are always informative bonuses that add that little bit more to a picture - apart from letting me know obviously what I am looking at !

All in all I've become addicted to Flickr and like Monty Python and the Life of Brian I always Look on the Bright Side of Life de dum de dum de dum de dum :D
