WHO?

An international creative team brings TokyoMade to you. One part was made in Tokyo, Japan (Masao) and one part was made in Brisbane, Australia (Deanne).

Combing their love of independent design, reconstructed fashion and unique arts, Deanne and Masao spend much of their time connecting with Japan-based designers and finding new, stylish treasures from all over Japan to share with the globe.

Designers, creators and artists on TokyoMade are based in Japan. A mixed bag of talent and creative power, their inspiration springs from diverse sources but what links them is their connection to this wonder filled island - Japan.
WHAT?

TokyoMade is an online hub of independent Japan-based design and creation.

Designed to introduce individual talent and original style from the streets of Japan, TokyoMade gives the global community of style conscious shoppers a chance to get their hands on rarely attainable creations.

TokyoMade supports unique art, handmade style and innovative design.

WHEN?

Founded in 2006 by Masao Tamaoki (MA) and Deanne Tonking (DE) TokyoMade promotes the work of over 40 designers both online and via Tokyo-based events.

WHERE?

TokyoMade is based in Tokyo, Japan. All products are sourced in Japan from designers, artists and creators living in Japan.

WHY?

TokyoMade is a celebration of the diversity, talent and wonder offered up by independent creators in Japan.

TokyoMade supports unique design, creative adventure, sustainable living and handmade creation. An alternative to store bought, mass produced stuff.
