I'm a graduate of English literature (studied in Manchester) currently working as an administrator whilst living in the sleepy town of Otley, amid the beautiful Yorkshire Dales of northern England. I bought my first proper SLR camera in the summer of 2007 and have never looked back. It's now rare for a week to pass without shooting a few photographs of the world around me.

It's great to be able to share my work online, and a large part of this photostream is available for people to use freely under a Creative Commons license, provided it's for noncommercial purposes. In these cases, all I ask for is an attribution line in the smallprint - and drop me a message if it's to be used online so I can have a look for my own curiosity!

Some of the pictures marked as "All Rights Reserved" are now licensed to Getty Images. You can purchase any of my shots easily and quickly through this service if you want to use them in a commercial capacity. For any other image, if you don't mind waiting up to 48 hours for a response then please contact me via Flickr Mail and we may be able to negotiate a discount deal.

Please also feel free to send me a Flickr Mail if you have any general questions or want to ask permission to use a specific photo in some other capacity. I'm also happy to arrange prints, posters or canvas copies at reasonable rates if you would like to purchase one of my shots.

Photography has taught me to take a broad interest in the world and find beauty in the minutia of everyday life. As such, there's always a random range of sights to be seen on my Flickr account and I hope that you will enjoy them. Comments are appreciated!
