I am 40-something amateur photographer living and shooting in the Garden Gateway to Canada. For those of you who aren't from the area, that refers to Windsor and Essex county, in the province of Ontario. We enjoy balmy summers and bitter cold winters and everything in-between.

Sorry no hyper artsy/creative stuff or photoshop abuse here. No bad photos masquerading as "art brut" or simulated Lomography. I just like to get out and shoot my environs while it is still intact. Windsor is a city in a state of constant flux. What is here today is usually gone tomorrow. Childhood memories become parking lots. Today's ordinary photo around town will hopefully become a joy to look at years down the road when the streetscape has completely changed, and memories are fading.

My main gear of choice comprises a reliable but geriatric (by today's fast paced digital standards) Nikon D50 DSLR and assorted Nikkor glass. Occasionally I shoot 35mm or medium format. But with the convenience and speed of digital, it seems less and less as the years go by.
