why, hello there
i'm Melissa.
i'm twenty.

where you from?
okay. I live in Northern Ireland, UK. Bangor to be precise.
So i've got one of those awesome 'norn irish' accents so i do.




what do you do?
I do a course called Interactive Multimedia Design in the University of Ulster, in Jordanstown. I'm a second year now. Really liking it :)
I've met some awesome people, and become obsessed with the web and everything geeky.

so, photography then?
yeah, it's good craic.
got my first DSLR a couple years ago, then just got more and more into it.. Become a little obsessed these days.
Love taking photos of animals, my friends, general random life events.. and i do love music photography too.
Perhaps someday I'll get into the press pit!
You can expect to see plenty of my dog Matisse and my cat Cleo in my stream too. I occasionally get my freak on and manipulate my friends & i into fierce vampire/zombie/blood-craving creatures.




what's in your toolkit?
Just got a new DSLR actually.. it's a Sony A580. it's purdy.
Before i got this though i used my Sony A100.
the lens i use most is my Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8.. or else my Minolta 50mm f/1.7. I'd save them in a fire.
I have a Sigma 70-300mm too, and a couple others that are pretty much redundant.
I have a wee Jessops 360AFD Flashgun, quite decent but I think i should invest in more lighting equipment since it's getting very dark very quickly these days :/

and for PP?
I shoot in RAW so quick edits in LIghtroom 3, then exported into Photoshop CS4 where i go nuts sometimes.
