When I was growing up I had wanted to be (in this order):
an engineer, a pilot, an explorer, a writer, an intelligent person (huh?)

If teaching kids about zero gravity and thermodynamics count as the combination of all of the above, I'd like to add another one on the list: armchair photographer! I'm still growing up - toward middle age :) So many things to do, so little time!

*Thank you my flickr friends who's taught me a lot about exposure and composition. I'm still learning. My flickr stream is a work-in-progress. Someday my students would be able to learn about the world from this tiny photostream :D*
