One of artist Alice DuBois’ favorite books, and an influence on her art, is The Hermetic Museum: Alchemy & Mysticism. At her recommendation, I read this book and quickly found its contents to be a deep source of inspiring material. The Alchemy of Cooperation is an exhibition of our individual alchemical explorations, as well as collaborative works.

The Rains: Explorations of Latin America in Paint

While backpacking throughout Latin America, I picked up several stories that inspired me to explore established narratives, as well as personal scenarios, in paint. The Rains is an exhibition of these explorations, with an emphasis on work from a recent trip to Peru.

My piece "What's Behind Door No. 3?" appeared in the juried show at Chicago's ARC Gallery. From the start of the Iraq war to the day before the opening, the number of U.S. troops who have died in Iraq will dictate the price of this piece. Should the work sell, all money will be donated to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Juried by Mary Jane Jacob, Professor and Executive Director of Exhibitions at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Money Money Money is an exhibition of contemporary artwork that addresses personal, political, and economic issues pertaining to the cultural currency of money..
