I am the inconsistent eclectic. I am hard to impress but effort scores high on me. In the eyes of the conservative, I am too liberal and scary. In the eyes of the post-modern hedonist liberal, I am too conservative. I play music that's too un-'rock and roll' for the typical rocker but too heavy and confusing to the musically passive.

I create languages that can actually be spoken and written. I write and publish zines. I draw not-so-good comix. I am campy, boring and socially inept in real life, and never really so in with the times, as I find more objects of beauty in the more recent past. Most of my favorite authors are already dead.

I am a renegade vegetarian, as I do not make so much fuss over a tiny bit of bacon in a salad that I failed to notice, or the fact that the potato french fries in fastfoods are fried using lard. I am an animal rights advocate, but I do not romanticize animals any more than what most of them are. Their rights end when they start attacking me or anyone I love.

I support gender equality and anti-sexism, but being gay does not make a person's view more correct than anyone else's. Being gay does not excuse a person from ethics or socially sensitive behaviour. Being straight does not make a person more 'normal' than anyone, either. It's all subjective.

I like the fact that I am not hip or cool to the younger set, through no fault of my own. I have my own tendency to be a tyrant, so I prefer working alone most of the time.

I love my wife and my son to the point of obsession. I know, it's not hip to be married, but here I am. I wouldn't exchange it for anything else.

I have a Suzuki Classical guitar that I'm proud of, if that is of any interest.
