I only fumble with words.

With photography, I am a bit more steady at hand

Je courrais loin avec toi

I am convinced pixels can be beautiful too, and that we should do everything we can to change the present perception of beauty to avoid getting trapped in it.
With my photography, I want to show that what is generally considered "wrong" and "ugly" can be utterly beautiful, if you just open your mind to it.

I was tired of the general perception and idea of "good photography"; first and foremost supersharp images with perfect and naturalistic light. Such images do not only require the right set, but also a presumably expensive camera.
I cannot afford such a camera and am stuck with my old cameraphone. It has no cool feautures or settings and it tends to make all pictures grainy and pixelated.
I figured that making images that are grainy and pixelated beautiful must be hard, but instead of demoralizing me, it motivated me to start taking such photos.

It is hard, and frustrating sometimes, because the camera is so basic and impossible to adjust. But it's such an interesting challenge and it allowes me to create outside the box.

I take, mainly, self portraits - call it egoism if you like. But it's just another way for me to express myself when words just won't do.

But, I never feel I "am" any of my portraits. The girls in the photos are separate from the real me and are just as abstract as the dreams I dream at night.

I love pixels and I would love to see more people making it a part of their expression. To me, pixels are beautiful and unpredictable.

"First of all, I'm ASTOUNDED nobody has written a testimonial for Frida Louise before me... What's wrong with you people?!?!

Her work is unique and highly personal whilst still being utterly inviting and instantly relatable to others.

The sheer beauty she accomplishes with the most basic of tools used in the most basic of ways inspires me in ways words cannot describe.

While I cannot and do not want to predict the future, I would not be surprised if she goes on to become a renowned artist of some kind. My only hopes are that she 1) NEVER stops doing the work she currently does; and 2) shares her work with me.

    :-D!"
