UPDATE December 2010- threadstar comin' back to life!artist, illustrator. Apparently I have nine lives...which I am workin' believe me...I stitch by hand..freehand style: I don't use patterns, transfers, photocopies etc. I occasionally do a quick line drawing from my head directly onto the fabric, but it will change as I work...I think I just paint in thread...I know all the stitches but I like very simple and basic stitches in my work because I saturate the piece in very tiny stitches. These are large works and take a very long time...some will never be finished because I will work on them for the rest of my life. I like that thought. I don't leave negative space in my art, I love bold color and dense surfaces.
IN AND OUT ...If you need a time out it's best to just take it..
