Flickr has become part of my life and, frankly, somewhat of an obsession. : ) It's international flavor is probably what is most attractive to me because I have a keen interest in world cultures and religions. Flickr has also allowed me to express and share four of my interests and passions: Architecture, travel, real-life Rapunzels and of course photography itself.
Architecture: As a small boy of 6 or 7 years old, I would spend summers at neighborhood construction sites, watching houses being built and running errands for the carpenters. I was fascinated by construction. Later, that transformed into a passion for design and architecture. I read a biography of Frank Lloyd Wright while in high school and was instantly hooked by his amazing life story and fascinated by his creation of a modern, organic architecture.
Travel: My family's travels during my childhood enriched my life and broadened my world view. That's led to a love of travel which has brought me to Europe, China and India, etc. I feel "at home" almost anywhere!
Rapunzel Project: I have always been entranced by the fairy tale appearance of females with very long hair. For me, it represents a step beyond the ordinary and an unapolegetic expression of femininity. 20 years ago I came across a stunning Victorian photo of a woman with hair reaching the floor...and then some. I thought to myself, I'd like to do that! So, whenever I come across a real-life Rapunzel during my travels or at cultural festivals, etc., they get my card.
Photography: I've been taking photographs since I was about 13 years old. I would take a bus to downtown St. Paul to photograph buildings under construction or being demolished. I've scanned a few of those and posted them. It's a lifetime passion which Flickr allows me to share and indulge in.
NOTICE: I feel strongly about Flickr being a photo "sharing" site. Therefore, if anyone faves my photos or leaves a comment without having "any photos available to me", they will be immediately and permanently blocked. Further, copyright abusers will be reported to Flickr/Yahoo.

Vanilla Monkey Bear says:
"Anthony is more than amazing !! First of all he's an architect-designer :-D and he also love photography ! He's very funny and he travel a lot, during his travels he likes to take photos of interesting girls in the streets, but those girls are not so happy sometimes, and I'm afraid that one day the poor Antho is going to have troubles for it !
Oh! He does the same thing with some ladies with looooooooooooooooooooooooooong long long hair, and I just love all those pictures! But I'd like to cut their long hair off and make a bonfire with it. (because I'm jealous)
When my hair will be so long that for walking around I'll have to roll it and put that huge roll it in a backpack, I'll go meet Anthony and say: YAY !"30th March, 2009
