No, I'm not really Thomas Merton...simply an admirer of his. To promote his life, his teachings, and his monestary, I have dedicated my Flickr account to his memory.

MY PHOTOGRPAHY:

I just take photos for the fun of it. Mostly I like trains & vehicles of all types, but also enjoy taking pictures of flowers, architecture, and anything else that tickles my fancy. I do take pictures of people too, but out of respect of others privacy, I rarely post pictures of people.

My favorite subject matter is trains, and I really enjoy railroad museums. Most of my photos are taken at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois. ( www.irm.org/) )

I decided to post pictures to Flickr to share photos with friends and family across the world. I didn't really start appreciating this site until I started discovering the various photo "pools" that are out there, like the wonderful Illinois, Missouri, and Indiana Railroads ( www.flickr.com/groups/ilmoinrailroads/ ) Now I'm finding it to be a valuable resource for research, as well as just a lot of fun! Flickr has become my most visited web site by far.
