The digiscoping set-up that I've been using since I started in April 2007 consists of:

* SCOPE: An older Nikon Sky & Earth Series spotting scope, 15-45x, 60mm objective lens. It's a smaller scope, but I like the close-focus capabilities of it.
* CAMERA: Sony Cyber-shot DSC-N2 with Carl Zeiss 3x zoom lens, 10.1 megapixel, and a large touch-screen LCD. The Zeiss lens sold me on this camera, and the touch-screen LCD display is especially helpful when digiscoping.
* MOUNT: Vortex Universal Digiscoping adaptor (small). I often just leave my camera attached to the adaptor, which is very easy to put onto the scope.
* TRIPOD: Bogen 3001 legs. Vortex Manfrotto RC-128 Micro-Fluid Tripod Head. I love the smooth movement of the tripod head.

During 2009, I will be building a new digiscoping set-up with a new Vortex Razor HD scope and digital SLR camera. I have the scope and am the proud owner of a new Nikon D90 dSLR. All images since about October 2009 are with the Nikon D90.
