I am not a photographer but I almost really like photography. Too technical IMAO to include Photography in the "Arts" section, even though I think the "act" of photography, e.g., Special FX, composition, subject is an art form, everything else is a product of your current equipment from start to finish...
Unless otherwise noted, I use Faststone on a Netbook to process images, and use JPEG's 95% of the time. I will process RAW for printing using Photoshop, but I abhor PP!!!
