The Steel Yard makes its home at the site of the former Providence Steel and Iron Company, 27 Sims Avenue, near Eagle Square. With over 9,000 square feet of workshop and studio space, including a foundry, metalworking shop, ceramics studio, and blacksmithing department, the Steel Yard offers an array of exciting classes and workshops. It also serves as the base camp for the development of new projects and partnerships as well as a number of free youth programs. Along with offering classes and studio access, the Steel Yard produces its own limited line of urban furniture consisting of bike racks, tree guards, and garbage cans.
