Hi, my name is Patricia, but I prefer Trisha.

I have 1 husband, 3 children, 3 grandchildren, 1 very hyper dog, 4 chickens and was caregiver to both elderly parents. My father passed away February 2010, still seems like only yesterday. I still care for my mother, though her health issues are not nearly as serious or time consuming as were my father's.

When my parents health began to fail, I retired from my pediatric nursing job and began my own sewing business, making custom home decor. It allowed me the flexibility to accompany them to MD visits, and to do their errands. (I do have siblings, but they all live out of state)...sooo
I am busy from morning to night, I multi-task all day. A definite Type A with a big dash of OCD...lol... I don't have much time for socializing, so I look to the web to network and make friends.

I have done some sort of creative work all my life, I simply can not sit still and do nothing...quilting, any and all types of needlework, jewelry making, painting, drawinng, woodworking, scapbooking..etc...you name it I've tried it at least once...lol.

I decided to rent a studio, (the paper pear studio) in Fall River, MA, where I created mixed media art pieces, which kept me from going insane......or not....LOL. It's a very active multi artist studio group, with artist challenges, ATC swaps, Open studio tours and a wide variety of community activities. I would usually find time (I don't know how!!!), to be in my studio every day, sometimes for just an hour, sometimes for the whole glorious day. It was my refuge, from the hectic issues that some days seemed to consume me.
Because of recent health issues and finances, I have had to give up the studio, though many of the photos of it are still here. I have since relocated my studio to a spare room in my home.
