THEO is an American artist. She is associated with the American Southeast, where she finds artistic inspiration, particularly in the Appalachian Mountains, where she was raised. Her original pieces are ironic in design, bordering on genuinely abstract and earnestly realistic. Her images evoke familiarity and invoke the sense of something first being created.
