I'm completely incapable of taking a decent portrait, so don't be surprised when you see a lot of trees and not a lot of people in my pics. I also enjoy photographing interesting buildings, and occasionally uninteresting ones as well. I enjoy trying to capture the organic side of machines. I also take some pictures the way many people do, to capture a moment with no eye to aesthetics; just a scribbled note. These are posted here, too, but for a different audience (family and friends).

I have a religious intolerance for Photoshopped pictures: if I can't take a decent photo, I should at least have the stones to admit it rather than trying to hide my mistake after the fact. A subject is what it is, and my abilities are what they are: pixel-massaging isn't going to change anything, really (see also: Authenticity in philosophy). Consequently you will find only two (2) pictures in my apportionment of the intarweb that have been electronically enhanced, and these are clearly marked as being follies and nothing more. N.B. I do make an exception for rotating something 45° as most peoples' monitors won't. I don't expect you to live by these rules, but I do expect myself to.

I shoot with the bastard child of a Leica and a Panasonic, and I will shortly upgrade to either a D3 or a Dm-R, selected randomly.
