In the last few years I have felt free to explore and enjoy my life.
Am I currently studying for a Social Work Degree.
I have felt able to experiment with my photography. I am not good, but I am determined to get good. I take photos of everything nearly everyday - I love it!!!

I have also discovered (too late some may say) to open my eyes and to '..remove the kinks from my brain and not from my hair!'

I have learnt that I am more in control of my life than I thought. I know I have choices and I am responsible for the choices I make. I know I have to work hard for what I want and I will not to rely on others for my successes.

At last, I have started to understand why having regrets is meaningless.

In recent months I have had to dig deep to realise my strength of character. I have been faced with one of the biggest challenges of my adult life thus far. I have managed to remain positive, which has been tough, but worth it.

I have been blessed with the most amazing Husband, Family and Friends, who have walked along side me on my journey with a smile on their faces and love in their hearts.

My hair has gone (but is not forgotten). This has taught me a valuable life lesson.

I am truly happy to be Nappy, 'cause I am Black and Proud

Until there is no longer first class
And second class citizens of any nation
Until the colour of a man's skin
Is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes!
