My Name is James "Bo" Insogna also known as "The Lightning Man" ( www.TheLightningMan.com ), I have been chasing and shooting Lightning storms since 1987. This is my 21st Year. I do not have all my images on on flickr. Some of the old ones are on film and I am not happy with the scans. Some day I hope to go back and rescan everything.

Lightning at Horseworld" took years to get as with the "Praying Monk." The "Cross and Lightning" was my shot I was working on for that year and I got it first day out. Pretty amazing. That is the real deal. No photoshoping the cross in the horses or Monk. I tend to have shots that I see, plan and I wait for the right time. Lightning is ART to me. It's not about getting a shot of Lightning... it's about getting an interesting shot of lightning. Sometimes it is hard to get to a location and have storms be in the right place at the right time. And of course there is a danger element.




I am also starting to work with some comps. Something I have never done in the past. This year has been a great season for Lightning Storms in Boulder County, Colorado. I have some great Images I am working on. Check out the Budweiser Brewery one of the hot shots for 09.
