I did sweep rowing as a hobby. Now I am cycling. Both sports spare these knockabout knees.

Born out west; retired in the deep South. Not a native, but I was trained by the military here for the Vietnam War and found my heart's home. People are friendly, patriotic, food's great, winters are mild, housing inexpensive, SEC college football is premier, taxes the lowest in the nation, belief in a higher power is ubiquitus, the arts and literature thrive, and everyone supports our troops. What more could you want?

Devoted to preserving the memory of the great runner Steve Prefontaine by creating the most comprehensive collection of images of him online. I followed him as a college student in the early 70s after I bought the Sports Illustrated issue with the 19 year old phenom on the cover. He still amazes.
