I'm a marketer, hockey follower, and all-around good guy [citation needed] from the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, Canada. I've had a passing interest in photography since I was young, but I've only become active in it as a major hobby over the last several years.

I don't really consider myself to be a practitioner of photography at a high level at this point: it's a skill and a hobby that's really a work in progress for me, and I post photos accordingly - it's about sharing photos I feel are interesting or at least "pretty good" and getting feedback, without the expectation that I'm one of Flickr's elite who carefully culls and posts brilliant shot after brilliant shot.

A year ago, I moved on from my Canon S5 IS to my first SLR, a Nikon D90. My kit is fairly modest at this point, consisting entirely of Nikkor DX lenses: the 18-55 VR kit lens, 35mm 1.8, and 55-300mm VR. I enjoy closeup photography, and I'm keen on buying the Tamron 90mm 2.8 or something equivalent at some point.

Most of my older images were just tweaked in iPhoto, and I'm not big on Photoshop. However, since entering the SLR world, I've shot almost exclusively in RAW and processed in Apple Aperture 3.
