I'm a research scientist by day, geek/cook/photographer/carpenter by night. I'm living in the burbs of Indianapolis with my wife and step-daughter.

In my copious spare time (ha!) I'm rediscovering a long latent artistic streak through photography. For me Flickr is a social outlet that I use to learn from others, and open my eyes to the possibilities (both artistic and technical) of photography.

Most of my pictures suck, but that's OK because occasionally I get lucky. I tend to be my own toughest critic, but then again maybe I haven't met the right critics yet.

Photography gives me an outlet for my inner artist that has been missing since I delved into my chosen career. All work and no play...
