I grew up in a colorless, flat, windy, cold environment. I started to wander very early in life, seeking anything different than where I came from.
I found through my travels that I was attracted to countries where colors, heat and flavors were abundant. My paintings are nonverbal expressions of the life I have lived, and wish to live.
The balance of bold color with textures reflects an abstract kaleidoscope of life’s challenges, rhythms, growth, and music. Because acrylic paint is fast, flexible and fun to work with, I can create the fabulous colors I crave and it give me an artistic freedom that other mediums cannot provide.
