Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

The names Victor, but you can just call me Vic. I’m 17 years old and I’m just finishing my senior year of high school. I was originally born in New Jersey, but a series of unfortunate events somehow moved me all the way down to New Orleans, La. I live with my grandparents who are your typical loud Sicilians and my little sister Baylie. I was recently diagnosed with Epilepsy and it has been a struggle to deal with at times, but it doesn’t control my life. I’m pretty much your typical teenager though I may spend time doing things most guys my age wouldn’t dream of. I am very much into photography and the arts, but don’t underestimate me to much I was a big athlete my freshman and sophomore years, but a knee injury put an end to all that. Some people may think I’m odd or strange, but to be honest everyday I grow to love and accept myself more and more. I have an awesome family, awesome friends, a really awesome girl in my life, and I wouldn’t change it no matter what obstacles are in my way.
