Hello, my name is Steve Deason. During my childhood my family had a place on Lake Sinclair in Georgia - which is where my love of fishing began. My mom and dad were avid fishing enthusiasts and taught me how to cast and tie my own hooks by the time I was six years old. As well, they taught me and my siblings the importance of conservation, consideration and respect of nature and our surroundings.

Since then, I have spent the last 20 years in competitive fishing tournaments across the Southeast and mid-Atlantic regions of the country. My passion for the sport has led me to study a variety of fishing baits and habitats. My particular enjoyment of fishing for crappie inspired me to open my own bait and tackle shop 9 years ago. The shop began as a hobby but as I worked to learn more about the wide variety of fishing methods and how to best apply them, I realized I wanted to be able to share this knowledge with my customers. My shop has become well-known throughout the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida and Alabama. It now has the one of the largest selection of crappie fishing supplies around.
