I am an amateur photographer who just likes taking pictures for fun.

I usually work with my Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS camera, but sometimes I borrow the Canon DS126151 (Rebel XTI DSLR) from the Antique Art Gallery I work at. Most of my photos on the DSLR have been done with an older 28-70mm lens. Although the lack of a motion stabilizer has been a thorn in my side, I have learned to hold the camera somewhat steadily. When I started out you probably would have thought I was taking pictures drunk, had I not been using a tripod.

Mid to early October 2009 I began using a Nikon D60 with 18-55mm / 72-200mm lenses. I had a very good experience with it in manual mode.

I always use manual mode, and I try my best to avoid using flash or high ISO values. Film photography intimidates me, mainly because I have never used a professional film camera before, nor do I own or have access to a dark room.
