The Bleeding Heart Bakery is the end result of Michelle and Velentin Garcia's love affair with pastry, savory, punk rock and all things organic. This combination may not seem likely, however it has created a tiny haven in Chicago like no other. Everything baked, cooked, sauteed, fried and simply created in the bakery is made from 100% organic ingredients. Each ingredient was hand-picked by Michelle and Valentin because of its taste and origin. The highlight is not only on organics, but on sustainability as well.

We are very proud to say we are the nation's first and only USDA Certified Organic Bakery.
