History : Inspired by the colour of Punk, in the grey Dublin of the early 80s, accidently fell in love with film photography. Fully self taught, following the 2006 purchase of a Nikon d50, the obsession re-commenced. Since April 2007 i have been charting the daily lives of Dubliners of all different types, in their home environment, from Inner city Dublin , to Ballymun and back again. Capturing unique people doing what they do, in their natural state, whether happy,
sad , laughing, having fun ,mischievous or just getting by .

Making the ordinary look special, and exhibiting something thats real, alive , hidden and different -- thats the aim ...

I have recently branched outside of Dublin , primarily Limerick, and Belfast , and even now to Cambodia, Turkey and Morocco.

In 2008 I won the TG4 Ireland of the 21st Century competition with this shot

Good photography should communicate to the soul, and as no photograph is perfect (apart from Karsh's shot of Churchill) - the pursuit of perfection could lead to insanity.
