Writer, editor, desktopper, blogger, a sometime photographer, always an optimist. In flickr, I'm trying to show you how you can enjoy your own pictures in a different way - and if you do, then others will too.

I'd like to claim a bit of Flickr history here. On the day I posted my first 4 photos, 25 June, I INVENTED THE SHOT STORY. Beginner's luck. So now you see in my place either a 3-shot story or a 2-shot story. I'm coming up with a 4-shot, 5-shot or 6-shot story soon.

A picture is worth a thousand words, right? I want to tell more than 3000 words in sets of 3 pictures. It's the writer in the photographer in me. I never pose my subjects, except when extremely necessary; I prefer stolen (candid) shots, so I compose & aim, crop in a split second and shoot. Ah, the wonders of digital photography!

How I learned photography: In late 1970s, I founded a color magazine (government) which I patterned after the National Geographic and called it Habitat. I was writer, editor, added photographer. I learned my photography from asking my photographers and years before that by studying the many art books at the library of Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro City. And by the way, I learned to post images in my (many) blogsites only about a month ago. I just thought: What if I tried to find out if I can do it? And so I did. And I blogging and now photoblogging (almost) all by myself. I have gray hair, if you don't know - that means, no one is too old to learn something new.

15 March 2007 - Since then, I have 'invented' desktop faces (seen in a set). Today, I've just created my first 3 sets, each set telling a different story.

With the third set ('One early morning in a village by the sea at the foot of a mountain'), I am inventing the 'Village Shot Story' where I show the photos I gathered in one early morning walk in our village - and it was Valentine's Day.
