The Naples Players (TNP) were founded in 1953 and we perform in the Sugden Community Theatre in downtown Naples. We are a professional quality theatre, and have been named the "Best Live Theatre" in Southwest Florida (including professional theaters) 6 times (as of 2008) by the readers poll of The Naples Daily News. We are currently ranked as one of the top three Community Theatres in the United States. CNN and Money Magazine cited us in September of 2008 as one of the reasons why Collier County Florida is one of the top five "Best places for a long life in the United States". Our theatrical tradition and heritage is matched only by our commitment to excellence, and by our outstanding patrons.
The Naples Players offers over forty volunteer positions in all aspects of theatrical production-onstage, front of house, backstage and offstage. Previous theatrical training or experience is not required. Just walk through the doors and audition, or express an interest in one of the 40+ jobs: to build sets, make costumes, run lights, etc.
