I'm originally from Allentown, PA and have roots in Brooklyn, NY. I'm a wildlife biologist/herpetologist in sunny Southern California - living in Santa Monica now to be exact! In case you were wondering - herpetology is the study of herpes, syphilis and some other diseases that make penises and vaginas fall off...........It is definitely not the study of reptiles and amphibians that some pseudointellectuals would like you to believe.
I love hiking and exploring and anything to do with the outdoors. Traveling is another thing I do quite often - I even did research in Costa Rica. It was on a island, off the coast...kinda like an amusement park and zoo in one, but then lots of people got eaten and it had to close. It was all because of some lazy greedy fat guy who I thought was eaten, but I swear I've seen him lately, but he's all thin now. I dunno.
I now also have a website of my own! Check it out here:

Some of my images are with stock agencies, but I also license many of them myself too. Drop me a line. I'll make you an offer you can't refuse....well, okay, you can refuse it if you want, but I'd be sad.
Oh, if you want to see my extremely talented sister's website, click here: www.lisagoldfarb.com It's really awesome!

My Dad is the greatest, most brilliant amazing man I've ever known and I am so proud of him and so proud to be his son. I miss him so much and will for the rest of my life. He died on May 22, 2010 from complications of multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. He was my best friend and had a profound effect on my life and on my photography. When he was 10 years old, he said he wanted to become a herpetologist when he grew up. After a stay in the hospital at age 15, he decided to become a physician. Many years later, his son became a herpetologist. We shared a tremendous amount of joy in our lives and I will forever have those memories.
Everything I am today is because of my Dad and my Mom. It's not something I take for granted or something I will ever forget. I take pride in knowing I am very much like them.
I will forever live my life honoring his memory.
A tremendous amount of research is being conducted to develop additional treatments for multiple myeloma, many of which have been spear-headed by The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. Donations can be made here:

"Boobie, doobie, boobie, doobie doo...
"THJL" makes me laugh with all of his clever captions and funny titles. It's a good thing he's so funny or I would be sick with jellousy. Not only because he finds the MOST AMAZING subjects to photograph, but also because he captures them with extreme skill. Spend the time, go through each page. You won't be dissapointed, I promise!"28th September, 2006
