I'm Adam..........thanks for looking at my profile.

A while ago i did the 365 days challenge of taking a self portrait every day for a year. It was great......you should try it.

"Adam is unmatched in his enthusiasm, creativity and energy. Normally I'd have to hate him for that, but unfortunately, he's irrepressibly likeable."

"Adam is a powerhouse of creativity - a POWERHOUSE I tells you. TO THE MAX, YEAH!
Seriously though: the amount of thought and energy he puts into his excellent pictures consistently puts the rest of us to shame,"20th August, 2008

BigFuzzy says:
"Not sure how I first came upon Adam's photos, but since that day I was hooked. I've gotten much inspiration from his shots which, to me, is the most important thing about Flickr. The simplicity (in the best possible way) of all his shots reminds (ie inspires) me to keep shooting that I don't need the best kit or access to models etc to take good photos.
And now, with his recent videos, I now know what I want to do with flickr video..
Thanks for the endless inspiration Adam!"9th July, 2008

JonSaunders says:
"Brownhorse is consistantly the best 365-er on Flickr. I was inspired to do a 365 project of my own after seeing hisphotos which are frequently funny, occasionally poignant and always very honest and hugely creative.
His ability to come up with so many great ideas and excute them so well would be really annoying if he didn't seem like such a lovely chap! ;o)
Pretty much every day, either my other half or I will start a sentence with, "Have you seen Brownhorse's picture today?" usually followed by, "It's well funny!" ...and I think that says it all.
And now that Mrs Brownhorse has joined in with the Flickring, (with similar wit and imagination) its even more Brownhorse for your money!
If ever someone builds a Flickr memorial park, it'll have a huge big statue of Brownhorse right in the middle of it. And a slightly smaller one of a rubber chicken somewhere in the background....."25th March, 2008

""I have to get to know him!!" was the first thing that sprung to mind when I saw Adam's photo stream. Lucky for me he lived just around the corner so it wasn't long that at a Flickr meet our paths crossed.
A man after my own heart, his '365 Days' project is an eclectic piece of work that is to be admired and studied from start to...erm eventual finish hah!
If thats not enough he's even roped his wife into becoming a Flickrite so you gotta admire the mans dedication.
A constant entertainer and talented sod."16th March, 2008

"Mr B seems quite unassuming when it comes to his photographs. He's a complete inspiration to myself and so many others, and I look forward to his photos every day, seeing what diverse photos he uploads. Anything from completely mad Fancy Dress Fridays where his creativity knows no bounds, to his lovely street shots that capture his and his wife's life in the 'normal' world. Rock on Adam, Im so glad I found your stream!"

"I first stumbled upon Adam's photostream a few months back, when I started my own Flickr account. I was hooked. I always look forward to see what he comes up with next. And that's the thing....you just never know. His creativity is amazing! And what a range this man has. From serious portraits to goofy pimply faced "hamburger helpers." Brilliant! Just Brilliant!"

"After meeting Adam recently, his wonderful photography became even more intriguing after I found out he was quite shy and introverted. For some time now, I have been a massive fan of his self portraits. Viking... classic! Mighty Morphin Power Ranger... Sublime! Scotsman in front of the ruined castle... perfection! Zorro... BLOODY HILARIOUS!! I could go on. But learning his people dodging techniques and reservations of shooting with an audience added a whole new dimension to his carefully constructed imagery. For me, its not just the photography (which of course is always pin sharp, beautifully composed etc) but its the seemingly never-ending supply of concept rattling around in his creative mind. I think is fair to say that we've all have photos in our mind that look good and when you go to shoot it it doesn't quite turn out how you saw it in your mind. Well, I would hazzard to say that Adam's photos almost always turn out the way he pictured they would, and for that I am INCREDIBLY jealous and am glad that he is close enough to me, that we can hopefully meet up with him & the lovely Mrs Browhorse from time to time and if I am very lucky, a little bit of the Brownhorse magic might rub off on the Ape."

Susan & her 5d says:
"I had the pleasure of meeting Adam and his lovely lady Alison at the weekend. Never met anyone in person that I'd met over the internet before! We didn't have to wear red carnations though - the big black gear holdalls on our backs gave us away. And what fantastic people. A fellow camera geek (YAAY) and a wonderful and patient wife who generally injects beauty and great smiles into the mix.
Adam's pictures always amaze me. His 365s have the biggest range of anyone I've seen doing a daily self-portrait. One day he's up a hill with a castle behind dressed in a skirt - the next he's being a bad boy on a movie poster. And the thing is - he doesn't just do these things - he carries them off to perfection. A talented man, with a great sense of humour and a wonderful personality. What a combination!"5th February, 2008

"man oh man he never slows down on the new ideas, dont know how he has the time, but brownhorse images never disappoint, instantly recognisable, often very funny and technically accomplished too. One of the few flickrites I check every day. Good work sir."

fwumpbungle (broomephoto) says:
"There are a few photographers on Flickr who have an instantly recognisable style of their own. Adam is one of those few. His (seemingly) effortless compositional flair is second to none. But it is his sense of humour which lifts his shots head and shoulders above others. It's an element which has also helped to ensure that I don't take myself too seriously as well. What's the point in struggling through life without having a regular giggle? With Adam's shots we're always assured of that giggle."

"Adam is one of those photographers that make you strive to produce better photos. Every shot he takes whether it is of a stranger walking down the street or of himself..is a work of art. I am inspired by his creativity and his infectious smile. So glad we found each other during our 365 journey!!"

"Brownhorse is one of my absolute favorite bloke's on flickr. His photo works are both hilarious and technically spot on. I love checking his page at least once a week for a good laugh....
( and to remind myself I know know nothing about photography)
If theres one person on flickr I'd pick to have a few pints with and talk proper lighting techniques....
Its Brownhorse."11th January, 2008

Clive Andrews says:
"Some people are technically great photographers with no sense of humour. Others are full of great ideas but lack the photographic skill to do them justice. Luckliy for us, Adam comes up trumps in both departments. The blatant silliness of many of his pictures is never at the expense of a well-crafted technically polished* photo. Follow the horse.
*Except for the Lomo stuff..."9th January, 2008

"Adam is one of flickrs gems! his creativity and humour are a regular source of pleasure for many of his contacts and on top of this he has bags of technical knowledge and experience which he is always happy to impart on us mere mortals =D
He's spends ooodles of time encouraging and commenting on other peoples shots and is constant source of inspiration....a nice bloke....an excellent photographer....a flickr legend in the making!"5th December, 2007

"Adam/ the brownhorse is truly one of the most creative and funny photographers I've come across on flickr. His pictures, especially the self portraits always make me laugh. It's just amazing to see with what kind of self portrait Adam comes up every time.
Adam, hope you'll continue your project 365 and keep up the excellent work!"12th November, 2007

Mista Yuck says:
"the brownhorse has got to be one of the top self portraitists on flickr. His stream is the only one that gives me a good laugh every time I visit. I need to visit it more often so I don't have to view so many of his pictures in a row...something about sore smile muscles. (it takes more muscles in your face to frown than it does to smile, but when the smile travels to the abdominal muscles and causes strange spasms known as laughs...it's clear that it takes more energy to smile...well...except when viewing Adam's stream because you'll just explode if you don't at least chuckle to release the pressure)
Thanks for the laughs Adam, keep it up."25th October, 2007
