I’m Jonathan David Lopez – photographer, animator, designer, thinker. For the past few months, I’ve been working on building my portfolio for photography and design. At the end of the winter semester at GRCC, I found out that I would not be getting any funding because I ‘made too much.’ I’m fine with that. The past few months I have learned more than I could have ever imagined in college; but then again, I would go back if I got the chance.

Drafting, carpentry, and metal work really drove me in high school. Precision is everything to me. Somehow I wound up on the FIRST Robotics team at Rogers High School. I became the photographer by default because I was terrible at all the electrical and programming work. Being the team photographer was kind of my last choice, but grew on me. After high school, photography became my trade.

Where I will go with my photography, I have no clue. I’ve been praying for work. My desire is to serve people with my skill. I want to help people, period.

Aside from my photography, I am a successful animator on YouTube. My interest in making clay animations has helped me develop social networking, patience, and speech skills (because I used to be incredibly introverted).


Some of my key personality traits:

-Passion: It’s the one thing that robots can’t replace!

-Sticktoitiveness: People are always amazed that I haven’t had a mental breakdown from how hard I try and for how long I’ve been striving for the gold medal, and I won’t stop until I get it.

-Joy: In a world of blah, I can totally show up with a smile on my face and make your good day great.

-Advancing: What was good yesterday doesn’t measure up to what I have in store for today.

-Different: There’s no other way to put it, I am different. I listen, I’m a leader, servant, I’m your go-to-man!


Technical Specifications (because you wouldn’t buy a computer without details, why hire someone without them!)

-I use a Nikon D90 but know how to use higher end cameras and Canon SLR’s

-Use Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, GIMPshop

-I’ve use a Macintosh since I was 5.

-I work out, so event photography is a walk in the park.

-I always had straight A’s in my Photography and Illustrator classes.

-Graduated 3rd in my class at Rogers High School.

-and I don’t drink, so I’ll never miss an event or do a bad job because of it!
