Ordinary joe, archive fan, love anything steamy, sulphuric and gaseous - gloomy, misty wayside halts, the sound of a signal arm dropping after the train departs, coal fire in the guards van, cotton waste, leather suitcases with old holiday stickers and anything before Dr.Beeching.
I suppose my main aim is to bring interesting railway archive images from regional photographers to a wider audience, there are lots of evocative shots from the steam era hidden away that no one ever sees.
If the book isn't opened you don't see the picture.
