These textportraits are an homege to writers and other artists whose work I greatly admire.
They were made by contrasting and brightening a photograph with a computer graphics program, using some text as background.
The inspiration for this series came from a similar work by Rod McLaren.
What I wanted to do was to create an image which could seem to emerge from the text as it happens when a reader tries to imagine something he reads in a book. In a similar way, I tried to bring back to light the picture of an artist form the text where it's hidden.
