Wood carver Tere T. Tolvanen

Tere has thirty years’ experience as a wood carver behind him. He’s worked on some interesting projects in that time. For example, the Helsinki Allergy Hospital boasts a six foot wide wooden sculpture of an owl on its walls. When new doctors graduate, their names are displayed hanging from its outspread wings.

Tere relocated his workshop from Kuopio to Reijola near Joensuu in 2007 and he has increased the frequency of exhibitions.
