I'd have to confess to being ever so slightly deranged, but then if you know me you knew that anyway. If you don't - it just makes things all the more interesting!!!
You'll find all sorts in here. I'm a kind of photographic voyager, endlessly curious; playing 'learn & catch-up' with film and film techniques. My Flickr is not a portfolio, more like a sketch book really.
I'm not finding this photographic adventure at all predictable.

Please don't make derivative works from my images and/or use commercially, without my permission. If you like them that much, then you may be able to license some of them via Getty or, if you can't find what you want there, flickr-mail me and we can talk about it.

*I value the time people spend here, but I'm not a fan of flashing/large/sparkly gifs. I will remove them from my comment streams. Don't be offended, just accept that I'm a gif snob!

"Tracy is creative beyond comprehension and prone to taking great photos. really. Viewing her aspect, i imagine her prone. that doesn't sound right. i'm not prone when i think of Tracy, but i'm pretty sure that she goes prone a lot. with camera in hand. well, that doesn't sound right, either. i think Tracy lies a lot when she's taking photos. camera in hand, lying down, looking up, shooting willy-nilly.
Askew.
A Dance Askance.
it's what she does.
Tracy defies logic, convention, language and containment."23rd April, 2009

terminal orbit says:
"I have not (yet) met *Trapac* in person, but the conversations that have flowed back and forth in the comment streams of our photo-streams, make me feel as if I almost know her.
Through her stream I have learned to recognise landmarks in Bristol (weirdly enough, - cranes) without having ever been to the harbour.
I enjoy her alter-ego dragon incarnations in DMU:S, but also her passion about cross-processed films.
If you know where to look, you will find her visual interpretations of photoshooting trips some weeks later than others have posted their digital versions before, thereby creating a nice and welcome second voice that is distintly her own.
I remember when she professed to be a point 'n' shoot amateur snapper.
Long gone, that.
She's become an accomplished and gifted photographer in the best sense of the word.
And aside from that, one of my most enjoyable contact streams to watch."17th April, 2008

"I can't believe I haven't written a testimonial about the lovely Trapac's photostream yet. Maybe I have and forgot all about it...
Anyway. Not only does this lovely lady look at things in a new and exciting way, she does it with film! And not just any film, film back to front, upside down and through 4 different plastic lenses at once.
In short, this photostream is made of win."25th March, 2008

"Wow! A cornucopia of delights -- angles, colours, shapes, maximising the obvious, wallowing in the delights many people would miss. It's vivid, and it's fun and some of it's serious. Go and see for yourselves . . . and enjoy."

"Trapac's stream is an embarrassment of riches. If you're into colour, architecture, or just something quirky and amusing, there's real depth and breadth to please and engross. There are so many projects and experiments with different cameras and films, it thoroughly puts me to shame.
I like the playfulness and the considered points of view of so many of her shots - she is absolutely the queen of cunning angles.
Take a flask of tea and a picnic when you delve into the alladin's cave that is her stream, or you may not get out again alive ..."3rd February, 2008

"Tracy and Martin in the tree.
FLICK-R-I-N-G.
Tracy is as red and vibrant as the sunsets and stained glass that she chooses to click at. She is fun, kind, warm, smiley, happy, talented and shacked up with MEH.
Did I mention Tracy and Martin are an item?
Just wanted to be doubly sure that you don't miss this fact, like I did."22nd May, 2007

"I think it's just possible that I might be in love with Tracy!!
What first attracted me to her was her assertion that she might be "ever so slighly deranged"!!
Then there are her brilliant comments - I always enjoy them!
Her warm, fun and smart personality shine through!
Of course - she takes wonderful images.....that get better all the time.
And last but not least - her personal dna has her pegged as a "Benevolent Creator" - which can't be bad!

rbrwr says:
"Tracy came to Flickr to post some old holiday snaps, some of which are very nice, some of which are just... holiday snaps.
She stayed to dazzle us.
From the very first picture she took with her little point-and-shoot digital her eye for a strong composition has given us wonders. She is famous for her sunsets, and her watery reflections, and her glorious autumn leaves; but if you don't go back and search out the abstract close-ups of graffiti and richly-textured tree-trunks and beautiful church interiors and calm wooded glades, you're really missing out.
Now, nobody's perfect, and there more than a few attempts in her stream to save a picture taken with a shaky hand in low light by adding an awkward 'film grain' effect... but she only does it because the pictures are worth making the effort for. One day she'll get a camera with a really fast lens and an LCD that isn't broken, and there'll be no stopping her.
She's got the eye. What more do you need? Oh, she's charming in real life, too!"10th December, 2006

incidental music says:
"I want to walk into Tracy's pictures: take in the fragrant air, wonder at that glorious pool of light that seems to follow her around, listen to the birdsong, the crash of the sea, a church choir rehearsing, a train pulling away...
But I keep hitting my head on the monitor."6th December, 2006

*Firefox says:
"Trapac has something of a dual personality. On the one hand we have the demur damsel, taking remarkable shots of wide ranging subject matter always notable for her trademark vibrant colours. She has an eye for detail that enables her to spot glorious shots that others would fail to notice. Visitors to her photo stream who choose to leave a comment will always be rewarded by a polite and entertaining reponse. The other Trapac is the fire breathing dragon of the DMU:Sunscapes group. who will without missing a beat chew up and spit out your finest sunscape and burn you to a crisp as she does so whilst gargling gin and tonic like it's going out of fashion. Which is the real Trapac? Demur Damsel or Dangerous Dragon? you'll just have to find out for yourself.
Her major failing of course is that she has a set for trains which hardly features any trains at all, and not one steam engine. Oh well, you can't have everything."4th December, 2006

"misanthropic and odd, this shy woman stalks as quiet as a ninja through urban wastelands and human decay to photograph sunsets...in her mind, they are pretty and pure...in my eyes however they reek of sex and death.

JumpinJack says:
"If I had to describe Tracy in a single word, I believe the one that fits her more than any other is: 'frantic'.
Indeed, she does most things (at least here at Flickr) frantically, furiously, fantastically fast and ... funny. And her pictures are, well ... fabulous.
There's also one song which I believe fits her more than any other (esp. its last two strophes): Billy Joel's "She's Always a Woman".
When she glides through (photo)streams, leaving comments strewn all around in her wake, I just can't help but to think of this song. :-)
Other than that, I swear she's making up her own words in descriptions and comments to deliberately confuse, puzzle and baffle people. What I just can't grasp is, how she manages to sneak these weird words in my dictionary, while I'm not looking..."31st July, 2006

"Tracy is my alter ego. I wish I could be as brave and *wordy* as her. LOL. She is an excellent, superior photographer with an eye for the unusual and the usual with a flair. She is funny, witty, and bright. (AS A LIGHTBULB ON A GOOD DAY). She keeps me entertained with her long explanations and discussions and I am learning new vocabulary everyday from her eloquent use of the english language.
Her photos are awe inspiring to say the least. Just have a look, you will have to agree that they are some of the best on flickr. Thanks Tracy for inspiring me to be as good as you...or maybe even better, if that can happen..in this lifetime...LOL."18th May, 2006

"Blindingly funny, amorous, quixotic, alluring, adventuresome, creative and takes a pretty good photo in her spare time.
Just take a look, she's witty, wonderfully whimsical and indescribable. The whirlwind of ideas, colors, flora and edifices will leave you dizzy and dazzled.
In summation, she's 'wow' all over!"6th April, 2006

"Tracy is amazing and gifted, as has been noted above, but I am writing this to testify my appreciation on her comments on my own photos. Noboby else takes the time to "wax lyrical" (as she puts it) on my work and she can't know how much I appreciate that. great now she will probably stop. lol."

"What do I like better? Tracy's photos or her photo descriptions? Well, it is a toss up. And together they are a sure ticket to an exciting world. Considering she travels all over, you will have a well-served feast of delightful images and engaging words.
Unlike many who grow complacent when they a have large fanclub, she tries hard to do better. That spirit is evident in all her photos. No visitor to her stream will be disappointed."29th October, 2005

"Tracy is such a special person to have around Flickr – one of those people who’s photos and comments are a joy to view. She seems to claim to be a ‘beginner’, valuing the constructive criticisms of others – but, in truth, Tracy is wonderfully creative with her Fuji! Her comments can be wicked and dry – but all in good humour of course! This is what photography, for me, is all about – creating one’s own images from the soul and making other folk feel good about theirs. A Flickr treasure, for sure!"

roschler says:
"I first met Trapac when she visited my photos and left some funny comments on them. I now realize she did that to distract me from the fact she is an amazingly gifted and talented photographer. Fortunately for us she stumbled and has posted some of the most beautiful, luscious, stunning, eye-popping sunset photos I have ever seen. Recently she has expanded her portfolio to include fabulous location shots that again show her artistry and her membership in the league of world class photographers.
To miss out on her work is to miss one of the true joys of being a human; that of sharing vicariously someone else's superb artistic skill. I am adding the sentence following this one, to make sure in her misplaced modesty she doesn't edit this accurate review of her work. 'Trapac if you water this down I'll do one of my silly photo stories on *YOU*, you've been warned!'."23rd September, 2005
