Jeff Milton says:
"Since I share Ted's interest in square format black & white photography, I really appreciate his work. Ted has a wonderful sense of how to use light."

"Ted,
A great photographer and guy. I've had the privlage of working with Ted through DSVC.org and other graphic design projects. As many of you have already commented, he's got some great photography work. His professionalism outside of photography is just as top notch. As a designer friend of mine once said, "Keep on Truck'n"."3rd November, 2006

"Rather than spend the next four days writing comments about each of Ted's photos, I thought I'd spend just a few minutes saying this... Few flickr photographers have so thorough a command of both film and oddball cameras, from toys to Russian clones - and even fewer are able to make black & white photography so damn colorful (in an emotional sense). There is an overarching austerity to much of Ted's work, both reverent and formal, that is very rare among photographers today."

Wade Griffith says:
"Ted's the man. His wealth of film and camera knowledge combined with a passion for B&W photography results in a collection of awesome work. So stop and smell his roses and his carrots and his photos of steel mills. You'll be inspired to make your own pinhole camera out of an oatmeal box and turn your house into a darkroom."

jason.s says:
"What you will see within this photostream is that Ted is impressive with his use and knowledge of multiple styles, cameras and techniques. The man simply can see shots other can not and has the skills to capture the moment. What you may not know is that he's got an easy, humble way that makes it comfortable to be around him and his craft. Make time to see his show(s) if you can. For now, take a look around -- you're sure to find something you like."

Shaylor says:
"Ted Forbes is the best kept secret on Flickr. His experience using and maintaining every imaginable medium format camera is unparalleled, to say nothing of his formidable artistic sense, gentle style, and unpretentious personality. I've never used a medium format camera, but I know enough about photography to be glad I sought his advice. Thanks, Ted!"
