While I do like digital technology and my Canon EOS DSLR and the convenience of my small digital snapper (Canon PowerShot S90), what has really drawn me into photography is an interest in older analog cameras (in particular from Zeiss Ikon) and their fantastic lenses. After two years of shooting rangefinders I finally decided to get a Leica. The handling is indeed as superb as they say. I also have a Sony NEX-5 on which I can use (allthough with a 1.5 crop factor) my M-mount, screw mount and Contax RF-mount lenses.

The analog cameras I primarily use are:

The Pentacon Six and Practica I use with lenses from east german Carl Zeiss Jena (such as Biometar, Pancolar, Flektogon and Sonnar), that I also sometimes use via adaptors on my Canon DSLR.

The Super Ikonta IV is my all time favorite. Medium format, sharp lens, rangefinder and lightmeter; scanned to at least 25 Mpixel files makes for great enlargements. And it fits in the pocket of my jacket (or in a small pouch on my belt).

Sidetracks: 127 format cameras, russian rangfinder bodies and lenses, Zero Image pinhole camera, 9x12 cm large format photo with a 1920's Contessa Nettel camera, snapshots with a Yashica T5 and my iPhone with the Hipstamatic app.

I do my own black and white darkroom processing and (sometimes) enlarging, but settle for shop developing and my Epson V700 scanner when it comes to color films.

Having come into the hobby via the technology of cameras (old and new), I try my best to explore the more artistic sides of photography as well.
