Tommy Byrne Photographic Society's photostream

We are the Tommy Byrne Photographic Society based in Arklow, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. From small beginnings in 2005 in The Royal Hotel, growing and moving to The Bridge Hotel (due to the closure of the Royal) we've held many events throughout the years such as Poker Classics, Summer Balls, weekly/biweekly projects, Tutorial Classes & Exams, local and national competitions, local and national exhibitions, not forgetting to mention the massive help and time members have given to discussions, lectures, slideshows and class sessions. Without our members and our hosts we wouldn't exist and we would like to take this opportunity to thank them all very sincerely.

In our sets you will find members Project Work which is assigned each week. This helps keep them in practise, take photos of subject they might not otherwise take and builds up a portfolio for each individual - because of course - we have to think for ourselves, we are all individuals and we are all different (well, most of us are anyway!).
