jodes i am says:
"An inspiration to me... Ziz's photography and amazing ability to pick up details in everyday life around him to make a beautiful image is something that brings me back to his stream time and time again.
I love seeing Melbourne through his eyes - the details that may be missed by others, he sees....
He knows a decent wine or two too!"4th October, 2007

sous les pavés, la plage says:
"ziz pretends he can do anything. don't believe it. he can't do the aussie accent. he is not from melbourne, he is actually a 14-year-old blonde from austria. he isn't drunk when he rings you up at 3 am to sniffle at you. don't believe his lies.
Only believe in coffee."24th June, 2006

"I can actually hear your outrageous Aussie accent in my head when I read your profile page."

"i only know ziz through his photography, yet i feel as if i've walked the streets of melbourne with him. he has a knack for showing me my own city with new eyes; in the moment of recognition, there is also the new vision, the new insight.
melbourne becomes just that little bit more marvellous when seen through his lens."6th February, 2006

dooda says:
"ZIZ has this knack for following up nuggets of wisdom with farts. Now you may think that this little innovation he so carefully brought into the world was enough, but no; It turns out though he's got a penchant for urban scenes that sometimes transcend "cliche".
Over the last couple of months, it seems like every time he posts a photo it's a little more refined, a little better composed, and brings me a little bit closer to tears (gas).
Truthfully, I deeply respect his ability to insert humour in truth, and vice-versa. It seems to permeate his photography, and makes him one of those personalities you're glad you came across. His diffusive attitude seems to work well with his subjects. Somehow he knows everything there is to know about coffee..."EVERYTHING" you say?...yup, absolutely everything. Don't even start me on that one...
I'm also kind of jealous that he gets to hang out with Barb."30th January, 2006

First Contact says:
"Ziz is not a coffee machine!!!
The likeness ends after the high-pitched grinding and splishing...;)
...and any soothing grating noises you might hear, well they're actually coming from his steaming photostream which is full of strong, aromatic architechtural and city moments. Very tasty and pleasing...and don't be surprised if you find yourself coming back for more :)"29th January, 2006

"ziz has a great eye for wonderful details, unusual locations and the general beauty of Melbourne. his photos have given me so much inspiration and I find myself constantly looking up all those great spots he finds.
he is my best friend on flickr."29th January, 2006

Kalense Kid says:
"Ziz has a wicked sense of humour that shows through in his photography, but most of all in his titles, captions and comments. He's an original, someone we should all cherish. And his photos aren't too bad, either, for a coffee machine."
