I have had an SLR Camera since I was about 10years old. My first SLR being a Zenith. Very heavy but it was reliable. I eventually moved on to a Yashica then a Canon.
I had fought against the change to digital as to me at the time it was wrong !
Eventually I succumbed to the changed and bought a DSLR Canon 350d as I could use the same lenses from my SLR and have never looked back since.
I progressed to the Nikon D90 in 2008 and August 2011 took the giant leap into the world of the Nikon D3s and I love it. Just need to get myself another lens or 2 but am happy at the moment exploring the D3s with the lens I have.
I love to photograph animals mainly action but animal portrait is my fallback. But in honesty I will photgraph any creature if I think it interesting enough.
I love the weather ,and, although some people find it easy , my challenge to myself is a good lightning shot.
