Renaissance man (art, music, photography, web development, project management), but admittedly not a handyman.

Fairly new to Flickr, having gotten sucked in by some photo-snappy friends. Prefer to be selective of what I put on here. Not one for taking self-portraits, but I do have one on here for everyone's reference.

If you go to my website (cactusaurus.com), you can view slideshows of my trips to Italy and San Francisco. You'll see that I tend to take tons of photos to capture the sense of place. Unfortunately, it has taken me a long time to learn that most of my photos have the highlights blown out, and I also tend to use Levels in Photoshop and probably too much of the Shadow/Highlight tool to process the high number of photos. I have been learning to slightly underexpose my photos (especially in sunny AZ), use Curves more, shoot and process in Camera RAW, and I'm getting more creative with adjustment layers. And I think the difference is starting to show in my Flickr gallery. But I still have a lot more to learn.

Yes, I do play guitar and sing Italian pop songs (not opera...I'm not Andrea Bocelli...more like Nek, Fiorella Mannoia, Daniele Groff, Luca Dirisio, Marco Masini, Gigi D'Alessio, Sergio Cammariere, etc.).
