Father, husband, journalist, lazy yogi, lapsed musician, lover of Thai food, friend to large dogs.
Most of these shots were taken in Burma/Myanmar from 1995 to 1999, where I was Rangoon bureau chief for the newspaper Asia Times. Shot with a beat-up Nikon 6006 on whatever film I could scrounge. Processed with expired chemicals in Rangoon. Digitized on crank-powered scanner.

"A journey through Stephen's photostream is to travel through unknown
places and behold wonderful sights and faces. His work captures a
world much different from my own but unquestionably more interesting.
Along with his photographs the stories he tells are also fascinating
and add that more to his images. More then anything else I want to
thank Stephen for sharing his photographs with all of us. There is
something spiritual and solemn behind his work and I feel a certain
sense of reverence when viewing his work. It is my hope that he will
continue to show us work and that I may continue to marvel at it."3rd June, 2005

"I am shocked, nay disgusted, that I did not write a testimonial for Stephen the very day I discovered his photography.
Perhaps it's because mere words cannot express how deeply his work moves my spirit. What string of sentences can do this man justice, praise his extremely talented eye, or show enough gratitude for his generous heart?
I am simply awestruck. My soul dances. Calm settles into my very being.
Thank you, Stephen."1st June, 2005

"Incredible that nobody has thought of writing a testemonial for this talented photographer. Check out the Burma and Strange World sets and you'l be swept away by TTT's compasionate approach and his eye for detail. Oh yes, and every image is documented which brings an added value to the sets and makes us travel with him.
Bring on the expired films and fluids - they do not scare this man who, rather than looking for the perfect equipment, concentrates on what is really important: Life (as we see it)
I'd gladly cook up a 12 course thai buffet to thank him for his inspiration and joy he brings with his work."30th May, 2005
