I am married; father to a 9 year old darling little girl; network admin by trade.

I think that sums it up nicely.

I picked up a camera in HS and then set it back down shortly afterward. It wasn't that I was not interested, I just had a more than full time job, and was still in my junior year.

A few years ago, I picked up a new one. Then I went over to digital after that. I love my FujiFilm S2Pro.

I suppose I was interested in photography for the same reasons everyone is... Fame... Fortune.... Global Domination.... Seeing how many of my friends I could con into posing nude.....

OK... So I suppose its more for the toys. I am a geek at heart... and the technical side of photography amazes me. Being a numbers geek... all the formulas in photography fascinate me.


Here is the part where I get all deep and shit I suppose:

I started this Flickr account mainly to do the 365 Challenge. Since then I have come to realize that the photos I am taking, while I don't by any means consider them "art", are still supposed to be an expression of my "self". And any who may know me know that I have a problem with filtering my thoughts to please others. Well, the photos will probably be the same. Some people I know may be shocked or offended by what they see. And for those people, you have my apologies. Not for what is in the picture, just that you feel that way. Meaning "I am sorry it offended you. But I am not sorry I said it."

As I said to someone earlier (paraphrased of course); The photos are supposed to be an expression of ones self... and if you are worried about certain people's ideas about your expressions... then you feel the need to censor yourself... and if you do that... then you never truly express yourself..... which then defeats the purpose....
