I am a hobbyist photographer based in the New York city metro area primarily specializing in cosplay and portrait photography.

My interest in photography started around 2005 after seeing some great costumes at pop culture conventions but not many great photographs of them. Since then, I have been practicing and learning more about portrait photography, so that I could capture these great costumes and the people who made them.

Costume photography is appealing and rewarding for me, because it is not the typical portrait or headshot. The costumers spend a lot of time, effort, and money to create elaborate costumes. When a costumer dons his or her costume, the costumer gets into the role in bringing the character to life. It is part modeling and part acting. Costumers are excited in seeing great photographs of themselves in these costumes, and that is what keeps me going in this hobby.
