"The cornucopia of colourful images was discovered in her love of wild gardens. Her work engages the senses in a blast of texture and vibrant hues.
Born in 1968, Into a Caribbean background, the artist was inspired by the diversity of her heritage. She began her education in fashion design and illustration. She moved into the creative arts by writing poetry, and then returned to visual art. She mixes her techniques, transposes the many processes involved in her work. She jumbles images and media and creates fantasy-like landscapes of the subconscious. These gardens are metaphors for her life journey, which is to travel the path less travelled.
