I've been on Flickr for a little while now. You may have known me as NotInFocus or Beechbeach. I decided that I didn't think it was necessary to be anonymous, so now I am just...ME!

I love taking pictures. I really started shooting a few years ago with my regular Point-n-Shoot (Olympus FE-190) which I loved and was (still is) a great little camera.

I am still fairly new to DSLR photography. Although I don't feel as much of a newbie anymore, I still have so infinitely much to learn. I received a DSLR - a Nikon D40 with the 18-55 and 55-200 kit lenses - from my husband for Christmas in 2008.

In 2010 my husband - wonderful man he is - gave me a D90...I think this will be my camera of choice for many years.

I don't have a huge lens line-up...yet. But I have found some that I am trying to get to know really well.

I welcome constructive criticism and ideas to improve my photo motives, compositions, etc. I love a good, amicable and constructive discussion on photo technique, composition, etc in my thread. That's how I (and others) learn!

I do not welcome impersonal, spam-like, blingy comments (which I will delete) and I will politely decline invites to awards groups and the "post 1 comment others" groups . Folks that fav my stuff repeatedly, but have 'nothing available to me' will be blocked.
